Tim O'Connor
CEO

Tim has had over 25 years of startup management & leadership experience and held senior executive positions including President, CEO, EVP Sales, Marketing and Business Development. As President & CEO at Vertical*i, he proactively managed the business initiatives and strategy, lead the funding efforts and created valuable relationships in sales and partnerships with fortune 500 companies.

Tim’s previous experience included EVP of Obvious Technology, a technology start-up based in Paris and San Francisco, a consultant with Price Waterhouse Coopers in London and Paris and served as a management consultant with EDS and Pannell Kerr Forster in Melbourne, Australia. He has raised over $20 million in private equity and knows the required elements to build a successful company. He is one of the few entrepreneurs that started a company with no institutional funding before the dot com crash and survived.

Experienced in building companies from both old and new technologies, Tim has founded and served on boards for non-profit organizations in Australia, France and the US including Advance, a community of Australian professionals overseas headquartered in New York City. Tim is an Australian citizen and has spent the last 12 years in the UK, France, Switzerland and the United States. Tim holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Accounting from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia and an MBA from Theseus Institute in Sophia Antipolis, France.

Peter Bewsher
VP Product Development + Founder

Peter has had a passion for technology since his first computer, a Commodore 64 at the early age of eight years. Peter belongs to one of the first generations that grew up with computers and the internet as mainstream technologies. He mastered several programming languages throughout his undergraduate studies.

A technology evangelist that firmly believes in the power of technology that lowers the barriers for people of all walks of life to access knowledge and information in addition to bringing the global community closer.

At the age of 22, (2002) he built and launched funkysexycool out of his “garage”, bootstrapping the company on his own. He has been the major decision maker in all product development for funkysexycool since inception having spent significant time with the team in Australia, Germany, South Africa, the United States and the United Kingdom.

While Peter enjoys software engineering, his main passion is user interface and product development citing Jakob Neilson and Bruce 'Tog' Tognazzini as his greatest role models.

Peter completed a bachelors degree in Computing from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

Russell Craig
VP Brand + Marketing

Prior to his role as Director of Marketing at funkysexycool, Russell worked at Ogilvy & Mather New York where he managed global integrated marketing campaigns for IBM's software division.

Before Ogilvy, Russell managed global marketing campaigns for Microsoft Xbox, and Intel at McCann Erickson New York. Russell has extensive experience in integrated marketing across all channels (TV, print, cinema, online, out-of-home, direct marketing), including non-traditional areas such as in-game, viral, virtual world (Second Life), and mobile.

Before embarking on his advertising career, Russell founded and managed two businesses: ebutlers.com, a same-hour delivery service for movies, convenience goods and meals in Washington DC, and craigmultimedia, a web marketing firm.

Russell has significant international experience. He has lived in London, Paris and Brussels, traveled throughout Europe, North America and Asia, and has managed shoots in the US, Canada, China, Germany and the UK.

Russell resides in New York City, New York.



   

Kerstin Wagner
Global Partner Manager

Kerstin first began her journey with FunkySexyCool in 2006 when she managed the integration of FunkySexyCool in her homeland of Austria, with mobilkom Austria. She came to New York to join the FSC team in June, 2008, where she currently holds the position of Global Partner Manager.

Kerstin got hooked on the mobile space at the young age of 15, when she completed her first internship for Austria’s leading mobile carrier, mobilkom austria. Besides her studies, Kerstin worked in several positions within mobilkom austria, the most prominent being Marketing Support, where she managed content promotions on the Vodafone live! portal. Working at mobilkom austria not only granted her the opportunity to establish herself within the European mobile content space, but also gave her the knowledge and experience of taking a mobile product to its success. Due to her almost 10 years experience within the mobile space Kerstin has tremendous understanding for the industry and sees herself as an advocate for user experience and KISS on mobile phones.

Kerstin holds a Magister Degree in International Business from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna, Austria and an International MBA from the UM-St.Louis in St.Louis, USA, where she graduated with Honors, earning her the exclusive membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honors Society.

Besides her international studies in Vienna, Hong Kong and St.Louis, Kerstin lived in San Francisco for a year, resides currently in New York and will set up a European FunkySexyCool headquarters in Vienna in 2009.
